01 About
Before Loopkart, I spent nine years in e-commerce operations, the last four running reverse logistics for a large marketplace. Every week I watched thousands of returned devices, most of them working perfectly, move toward a landfill or a grey market with no guarantee attached.
In 2019 I left to build the opposite: a place where a pre-owned phone, laptop or appliance is inspected, restored, warrantied and delivered like a new one. Seven years on, Loopkart serves 2.4 million customers in 62 cities, and we have yet to compromise on the one thing the category runs on: trust.
02 The company
Loopkart restores, certifies and resells pre-owned electronics and appliances with the same warranty and service a new product carries. Every item we resell is one fewer in a landfill.
Every device passes a 62-point inspection and ships with a 12-month warranty.
Dark stores and a refurbishment campus in Gurugram reach 62 cities in two days.
Instant, fair quotes on old devices, with doorstep pickup and same-day payment.
03 Journey
A short timeline of the decisions, setbacks and milestones that shaped Loopkart.
Started as an operations analyst at a national marketplace, later leading reverse logistics for four million parcels a year.
Found that one in three returned devices was never resold with a warranty, even when nothing was wrong with it.
Opened a 400 sq ft refurbishment bench in Gurugram with a team of six and a single, strict inspection checklist.
Raised a US$4M seed round and launched the 62-point Loopkart Certified programme.
Expanded to 18 cities and built the in-house repair academy that now trains 600 technicians a year.
Opened a 120,000 sq ft refurbishment campus and reached contribution profit in 18 cities.
Launched Loopkart Care, a two-year protection plan for pre-owned devices, and began the first export pilots.
